Rotary - The round production machine
The Rotary series combines the sturdy structure of
the ELB machine column with a precision rotary
table. The resulting machine design produces
convincing results regarding precision and
productivity. Rotary machines can be built as three
basic types:

The Rotary H is a classic rotary table
machine with a horizontal spindle layout.
For chucking, either one workpiece is
centrically clamped on the rotary table or
various workpieces are positioned around the
centre. Due to the revolving movement of the
workpieces, the grinding wheel is constantly
engaged and thereby meets the highest
productivity requirements.

Rotary V
The
Rotary V machines are equipped with a vertical
spindle arrangement. These machines are capable to
handle ID as well as OD applications. These machines
are preferred when manufacturing rotation
symmetrical
parts with high precision requirements.
Machines of the Rotary VS series have a vertical
spindle that can swivel. This allows also grinding
of cones. Grinding can be carried out on both the
outside and inside diameter.

Machines of the Rotary family with a
vertical spindle arrangement clamp the
grinding wheels using HSK receivers.
Combined with the optional automatic
actuation and a tool changer, the Rotary VS
turns into a flexible grinding centre.
